Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Public Commission for the Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife, and in cooperation with PROACT, UNIDO and the Bahraini Ministry of Finance (that will be acting as strategic sponsor for the expo), the commission shall be organizing Bahrain's first green technology expo, the 1st Bahrain Green-Tech Expo between 18-20 October 2011 at the Bahrain Exhibition Centre

.The exhibition aims to be an annual international forum, bringing together makers of environmentally friendly technologies, particularly in the field of water, energy and waste, as well as elite decision-makers and officials from ministries and government agencies, in addition to companies operating in the Kingdom, investors, NGOs and all the residents of the Kingdom, in order to expand the uses of these technologies that are environmentally, economically and socially beneficial.

Will show a basic rule to protect the environment and the development of uses environmentally friendly technology to put a building block to check the direction the economic vision of Bahrain 2030, and launched by His Majesty the King, through the three principles which were based upon this vision, including the principle of sustainability, as well as the organization of this event coincides with the directions and policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to make a center of targeted and relevant exhibitions that promote sustainable development and promote tourism exhibitions and conferences to promote the economy of the Kingdom.
